Oil-impregnated bronze bushings are pressed from powder and then sintered to form a hardened part. This method is very effective for high-volume manufacturing, but it also has its limitations. Oil-impregnated bronze bushings are cheaper and more efficient, but they have mechanical limitations.
The production of oil-impregnated porous bronze bushings is simple. Powder bronze bushings are pressed and vacuum sealed by forcing oil into the pores. Epoxy Impregnated Capacitor Batteries
